The Cincinnati Center for Auditory Processing and Language Disorders

The Cincinnati Center for Auditory
Processing and Language Disorders

The Cincinnati Center for Auditory Processing and Language Disorders is located at the University of Cincinnati College of Allied Health Sciences in the Department of  Communication  Sciences and Disorders.  In this facility licensed and experienced audiologists and speech language pathologists evaluate both children and adults who are suspected of having a Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) and/or Language Learning Disorders.  Faculty work side by side with and supervise graduate students who are completely involved in the assessment process.  Our program philosophy is that APD usually represents a multi-factored problem requiring trans-disciplinary evaluation. Our virtual center includes audiologists, speech-language pathologists, psychologists, physicians, and others. When referrals are received from other professionals or agencies our communication will always be back to the referral source. Otherwise we meet with and provide reports to parents or other authorized caregivers who come to our center for services.

Individuals or referring professionals interested in an evaluation are invited to contact Linda Roedig at 513-558-8503 or contact us by email at  linda.roedig@uc.edu. We will communicate with you regarding the specifics questions that you want answered before scheduling an appointment. In some cases we will forward an intake questionnaire that will help us to determine the appropriateness of the referral and to plan our evaluation.
