Welcome to the Tartan Products home page. At Tartan Products we develop tests of central auditory processing and software used to analyze and interpret results of SCAN-A and SCAN-C tests of auditory processing disorders. As we have grown we are increasingly aware of a need for a web site that provides basic information about CAPD and related tests.

The purposes of this page are to provide information to all concerned about central auditory processing disorders (CAPD), disorders of timing in the auditory system (temporal processing disorders), and disorders of auditory attention. Some of the tests that can be used to diagnose these disorders and software programs that enable accurate and efficient analysis and interpretation of those tests are described here. We have included references to articles related to the tests listed here, and information about the author. The links to frequently asked questions (FAQ) will be helpful to persons administering these tests, and the case of the month provides a specific example of an interesting case that may be of interest. Links are provided to other web sites to enable the browser to quickly obtain related information about CAPD and resources to purchase products described here.
