Welcome to the Tartan Products home page. At Tartan Products we develop tests of central auditory processing and software used to analyze and interpret results of tests of auditory processing disorders. The purposes of this website are to provide information to all concerned about auditory processing disorders (APD), disorders of timing in the auditory system (temporal processing disorders), and disorders of auditory attention. Some of the tests that can be used to diagnose these disorders and software programs that enable accurate and efficient analysis and interpretation of those tests are described here. We have included references to articles related to the tests listed here, and information about the author.  Links are provided to other web sites to enable the browser to quickly obtain related information about APD and resources to purchase products described here.

Note!

Because of recent revisions of the SCAN auditory processing test batteries this website is currently out of date and is in the process of being revised.  Many of the tests previously described are no longer available including SCAN-C and SCAN-A.  Both of those tests were completely revised and renormed and are available as SCAN-3 for Children and SCAN-3 for Adolescents and Adults - Tests for Auditory Processing Disorders.  Detailed information about the revision will be published in the next few weeks.  In the meantime, persons interested in obtaining ordering information can copy and paste the following address to their browser and enter SCAN-3 in the search menu:
